CTV monetization

CTV monetization.
More demand for your TV inventory.

If you run a TV app or a streaming channel, CTV monetization is how that screen earns advertising revenue. robustmonetize brings additional connected-TV demand to the inventory you already have, integrated through server-to-server OpenRTB or VAST tags, so your current setup keeps running exactly as it does today.

What CTV monetization actually means

Connected TV (CTV) is television content watched through an internet connection — a smart TV, a streaming stick or box, a game console, or a TV app on a live-TV or fast channel service. Instead of a broadcast slot, the ad opportunity is an impression inside your app, and it is bought and sold in the same programmatic auctions that buy display and video ads.

Monetizing it means making those impressions available to advertisers and letting them compete for your slots. The mechanics are similar to website monetization: the more qualifying demand that can reach your inventory, the better each impression is priced — and the revenue you already earn from your current partners stays where it is.

How the integration works

For CTV, we usually connect server-to-server through OpenRTB (ORTB). Your ad decisioning or SSAI setup sends bid requests to us; we return eligible campaigns when we have them; the winning ad is stitched or served through your existing player. Where a tag-based approach suits your stack better, VAST tags are available too.

Either way, nothing about your content delivery or your current demand sources has to change. Our demand is added as one more source competing for the same impressions.

  • Server-to-server OpenRTB for CTV and live TV apps
  • VAST tag support where that fits your player or ad server
  • Works alongside your existing CTV demand sources
  • Display, OLV and Native demand available on the same account

What we need to get started

CTV inventory is reviewed before campaigns are turned on, so we can match your content and audience to advertisers who are comfortable with it. The more you can tell us up front, the faster that goes.

  • Your app or channel name, and where it is available
  • What you stream — live TV, FAST channels, sports, news, VOD or something else
  • How your ads are served today (SSAI, a player, an ad server)
  • Roughly how many viewing hours or ad impressions you deliver

Why additional CTV demand matters

TV advertising budgets have grown quickly, and a lot of advertisers are trying to reach people on the biggest screen in the house. If only a handful of buyers ever see your impressions, you are leaving value on the table — not because your inventory is weak, but because it was never put in front of the rest of the market.

That is the whole idea behind working with us: keep what you have, open your inventory to more advertisers, and watch the extra earnings in your dashboard.

Common questions

What is the difference between CTV and online video (OLV)?

CTV (connected TV) is advertising inside TV apps and streaming environments on television devices. OLV (online video) is video advertising on websites and in apps — pre-roll, mid-roll or outstream. robustmonetize brings demand for both, and many publishers run the two together.

Do I need my own app to monetize CTV?

You need TV inventory to sell — usually a TV app, a FAST channel, or a streaming feed that a partner operates on your behalf. If you are not sure whether your setup counts, describe it in the application and we will tell you.

Will adding you replace my current CTV partner?

No. Our OpenRTB connection or VAST tag is added as an additional demand source. Your existing partners keep running, and our campaigns compete for the same impressions on top of them.

How do I start CTV monetization?

Submit the application with your app or channel details and a note about your video inventory. We review it, recommend the integration path that fits your stack, and turn campaigns on once everything checks out.

What are your publisher payment terms?

robustmonetize offers Net 30 payment terms for eligible publisher advertising revenue, subject to the publisher agreement.
